A man charged with attempted homicide is due for a preliminary hearing today.
Court documents show that Robert John Richard II from Clarksburg was charged by state police in connection with an incident on July 26th where he reportedly pointed an automatic rifle towards a neighboring home while the victim and his fiancée were inside. Troopers say he opened fire when they arrived, and officers returned fire, hitting him in the shoulder.
On top of attempted homicide, he is charged with assaulting an officer, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and possession of an instrument of crime.
Also due for a preliminary hearing today are three individuals charged in connection with a fight on August 6th in Blairsville. Borough Police were sent out at 10:30 that night to the Blue Diamond Bar on East Market Street and found Sydney Chisolm, Rachel Hoffer and Dylan Terney of Blairsville were involved in the fight.
