The Steelers’ Jalen Ramsey has a broken wrist but vows to play tomorrow night against the Browns in Cleveland. He said he broke it on the first series against the Bengals on Sunday but he kept playing. He wore a cast on the wrist yesterday.
The Steelers held a walk-through practice again yesterday and Joey Porter Jr. was a full participant again. Coach Mike McCarthy said Porter’s participation in today’s more vigorous practice will help determine whether or not he can play in his first game this season.
McCarthy says the Browns and Steelers will have a slugfest.
The coach says the Steelers will need to always be aware of Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson.
Both McCarthy and quarterback Aaron Rodgers have solid records in Thursday football. The coach is 16-6 on short weeks, 17-8 all-time, while the quarterback is 13-7. The coach says Rodgers is a valuable leader in primetime.
