Mason Heintschel threw for 403 yards and six touchdowns as Pitt rolled to a 59-0 win over Bucknell on Saturday, with the Panthers improving to 4-0 heading into a Friday night matchup at Virginia Tech in their ACC opener.
Heintschel was 29-of-37 passing before being relieved early in the second half. Holden Geriner and Corey Dailey also saw action at quarterback and both of them threw touchdown passes as well. Pitt gained 766 total yards on the afternoon.
Censere Lee caught three of the scoring passes. Demetrice McCray caught two, and Carson Kent, Antonio Chadha, Bryan Hamilton and Tyreek Robinson all had touchdown receptions as well.
One problem area coach Pat Narduzzi would like to clean up before the ACC opener: Pitt was flagged for sixteen penalties and 165 yards.
Pitt/Virginia Tech kicks off on Friday at 7 PM.
