SUPERLOAD DELIVERY SCHEDULE RAMPS UP IN OCTOBER

Not that a “superload” will ever be routine, but after two successful deliveries of power-generating equipment, the schedule of future superloads will become almost a daily routine for a quite a while, starting this week.

Edwards Moving & Rigging plans to start the schedule on Tuesday, following the same pattern established by the first two deliveries.  Departure will be from the Schenley Dock in Armstrong County, following Route 66 through Leechburg to the Route 22 interchange in Delmont, then east on 22 to Blairsville, and after pausing overnight, on to the Homer City Generation Energy Campus in Center Township the next day.

The schedule for each trip will be subject to change, but as of now there are twelve superloads scheduled in October, on the October 1^st, 2^nd, 5^th, 6^th, 7^th, 8^th, 9^th,10^th 13^th, 14^th, 15^th, and 16^th.

Future superload deliveries are planned all the way into January, with additional single-day trips also occurring and causing slowdowns, but not closures.  Travel times, route and possible detours will be announced by PennDOT prior to approved transportation dates.  The plan for future equipment arrivals at the Energy Campus also includes deliveries by rail.
