Pennsylvania has surpassed 800 measles cases this year. The State Department of Health reported 43 new cases in its latest update on Wednesday, bringing the 2026 total up to 835. More than 340 measles cases have been reported in Lancaster County. The DOH noted measles vaccinations are up significantly across the Commonwealth in September compared to a typical month. Four measles deaths have been reported since the start of the year, and 164 people have been hospitalized.
Indiana County has had three new cases reported since last week, for a total of 14 cases.
