The Marion Center and River Valley School Boards will meet this week.
On the agenda for Marion Center’s board tonight is consideration to authorize participation in the Allegheny Intermediate Unit Joint Purchasing Program for the 2027-28 school year, voting for PSBA officers, and the consideration of a memorandum of understanding between the district’s Education Support Professionals-PSEA-NEA and the district regarding a one-time, limited exception to the process required to post and fill a vacant position. No word on what that position will be.
The River Valley Board will meet tomorrow night and will consider hiring Sharon Kunkle as the Department Chair for the STEAM Academy, a supplemental position for this year. They will also go through second readings and review for board policy/procedure/administrative regulations, bullying, cyberbullying, use of credit cards and fraud. That meeting is set for the Blairsville campus.
