A Westmoreland County judge is threatening to dismiss charges filed against a man accused of trying to kill his landlord.
James Sever is charged in a pair of instances where reportedly intended to kill people. In one case, investigators say he planted a bomb underneath his former landlord’s riding lawnmower. Defense attorneys say prosecutors are withholding reports from experts about the explosive devices involved in the cases. Judge Christopher Feliciani has given prosecutors 60 days to share the evidence with the defense else face the possibility that the charges against Sever will be dismissed.
