The Steelers had the day off yesterday. They are starting the week as 4.5-point underdogs for Sunday’s game at New England.
Yesterday, the Steelers brought in two former Houston Texans offensive linemen for tryouts, taking a look at former Texans fourth round draft choice Charlie Heck, a 6-8, 310-pound tackle who played last year for Tampa Bay and spent the preseason with Miami. He’s started 27 games in the NFL since being drafted in 2020.
Heck’s former teammate, 6-5, 330-pound tackle Austin Deculus, was also at the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex yesterday. He’s a 2022 sixth round choice of the Texans who has started six games and played in twenty-six in the NFL, also playing for the Chargers. Deculus spent training camp with the Tennessee Titans.
