The Altoona Curve pulled off a comeback on the strength of Callan Moss’ grand slam homer as the Curve beat the Akron Rubber Ducks 4-2.
The bases were loaded in the 8th and the Curve were down 2-0 when Moss cracked an 0-2 pitch from Akron’s Michael Kennedy to the bleacher seats in left field. Matt Ager got the win for the Curve, going seven innings and scattering nine hits and two runs and no walks while striking out five. The two teams will play again tonight with Yonleg Gaetano starting for Altoona.
