After beating 12th-ranked Ashland last Thursday, IUP has risen to number 14 in the nation in the AFCA Division II Coaches Poll. The Crimson Hawks are also ranked number 19 in the D2Football.com poll, after starting the season outside the Top 25.
Ashland fell to number 19(AFCA)/number 21 (D2Football.com).
Other PSAC teams ranked in the AFCA poll are Kutztown at number 3 and Slippery Rock at number 13, while in the D2Football.com poll, Kutztown is number 4 and Slippery Rock number 14.
Ferris State is number 1 in both polls.
IUP plays at West Chester this Saturday.
