Gas prices remain high one day after the Labor Day driving period.
The National Average this morning went up six cents a gallon over the last week to $4.15 and up 13 cents from last month. Last year, gas prices were 95 cents lower across the nation.
This morning’s average in Pennsylvania is $4.30. The statewide average was $4.25 last week and at $4.12 last month. Last year, the PA Average was 43 cents lower. Indiana county’s average is $4.32 today. Among the surrounding counties, Jefferson remains the lowest at $4.24, and the highest are in both Westmoreland and Clearfield Counties at $4.35.
Gas prices this morning in Indiana Borough, White Township, Blairsville, and Clymer this morning are hovering around $4.29 and $4.39 a gallon. Along the Route 119 Corridor in Center Township, the Sheetz on 119 and Kwik-fill are at $4.29 while Accent Fuels is at $4.19.
