Propelled by two top five finishes the Indiana High School cross country boys won the Cal U Invitational on Saturday, and the Indiana girls made it a sweep by winning their meet, with two top ten finishes.
For the boys, Kaiden Branan finished second overall , and Liam Templeton came in fifth. Freshman Jackson Sharbaugh was 13th and Ben Ferraro crossed the line at 25th in the 21-team, 209-runner field.
For the girls, Morgan Blystone took second place and freshman Paige Neal was eighth. Aubrey Hunger was 11th and Sophia Elgin 13th, making it four top fifteen finishes for Indiana. Clara Weigner, Emory Derry, and Ellie Derr, also all medaled.
And a hopeful sign for the (far) future: third-grader Jace Branan took 10th place in the kids’ race!
