The Pirates used “small ball” for their series-clincher Thursday against the Giants.

The Bucs take on the Angels tonight in the first of three games this weekend. Shortstop Konnor Griffin is expected to be activated after recovering from a hand injury that landed him on the injured list on July 7th.
Before the game, the team will honor the three new members of the Pirates Hall of Fame. John Candelaria, Jack Wilson, and the late Wilbur Cooper were inducted last night.
Tonight’s game will not be on WCCS because of high school football.
ALTOONA CURVE
Altoona scored five runs in the tenth inning to knock off Harrisburg, 12-7. Murf Gray had three hits and drove in two runs and Keiner Delgado cracked a three-run homer. Matt King had two hits and Aaron Shortridge threw two hitless shutout innings, striking out four for the win.
