The Pirates let another one slip away last night, losing the second game of their series with San Francisco.

The Giants’ scored twice in the fourth inning off Bubba Chandler after Oneil Cruz, Esmerlyn Valdez, and Brandon Lowe let a popup fall to the grass between them in shallow right field. Manager Donnie Kelly says it’s a hazard of playing in the early evening at PNC Park.
Kelly will not have Carmen Mlodzinski available this afternoon after he used him to throw three innings last night.
Shortstop Konnor Griffin was 2-for-4 with a walk last night in his second rehab game with Indianapolis. The Indians lost to Toledo, 11-2.
