The Pirates woes continued last night with a 4-1 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals.
The Pirates only offense came as Jared Triolo hit an RBI single that scored Jake Mangum. Jared Jones took the loss for the Bucs, going 4 and two-thirds innings and surrendering three runs on seven hits, notching six strikeouts and one walk. The Pirates and the Cardinals return to action this afternoon. Lake Bachar will start for the Bucs. He is 1-3 with a 3.70 ERA. The cards are sending their ace, Kyle Leahy, who is 10-4 with a 3.13 ERA. Air time is 1:50 on WCCS.
