A Black Lick man was arrested yesterday at a home in Center Township.
State police say that 42-year-old Joseph Wissinger was wanted on two arrest warrants. One was issued for charges of simple assault, false imprisonment and harassment after a domestic incident at a home in Burrell Township on August 16th. The second was related to charges filed on August 19th on weapons possession violations. In that incident, Wissinger was found to have been in possession of a rifle, an altered shotgun, a handgun and various ammunition which was seized from a parked an unattended vehicle the day before.
Members of the State Police Fugitive Task Force arrested Wissinger at a home in Center Township on Tuesday. Bail was set at $25,000 for the assault case and $100,000 for the firearms case. He remains in Indiana County Jail as he awaits a preliminary hearing in front of District Judge Christopher Welch on September 14th.
