Indiana’s boys golf team lost for the first time this season, dropping their Section match against Latrobe by eleven strokes. Indiana’s 222 total at Latrobe Country Club was led by Ryan Bell’s six-over 42. Chace Force, Will Steve, and Beau Raykes all shot 44 and Joe Mains shot 48. Latrobe’s Nate Meeder was the medalist with a 3-over 39.
The Indians are 6-1, 2-1 in Section.
Homer-Center is undefeated at 4-0 after edging West Shamokin by just three strokes at Chestnut Ridge. The Wildcats’ Aiden Darr had two birdies and he and teammate Reece Coy both shot 38. Jordy Arone, Cole Sorber, Elliot Drew, and Ty Steffey all carded 41s as Homer-Center shot a combined 199, their best score of the season.
Match medalist was West Shamokin’s Carter Myers, with a 37. Carson Carnahan shot 38, Tanner Cook and Nick Krizmanich both had 41s, Antonio Buffone 45 and Finn Merrow a 46.
