Binghamton pitchers held Altoona to just four hits and three walks in a 4-0 shutout of the Curve on Saturday night.
Rumble Ponies starter R.J. Gordon tossed six scoreless innings to earn the win. Curve batters did themselves no favors, hitting into double plays in each of the first three innings. Their only true scoring threat came in the sixth when Keiner Delgado hit a leadoff double and advanced to third on a groundout, but he was stranded there.
It was the sixth shutout thrown against the Curve this year. The series concludes this afternoon in Binghampton, with the Curve sending Peyton Stumbo to the mound.
