A homicide trial in Allegheny County ended in a mistrial after court staff smelled marijuana coming from the jury room during a lunch break.
The judge questioned all 14 jurors individually, but none admitted to using marijuana. Defense attorneys said they could not continue with the case because someone on the jury appeared to be withholding information.
The mistrial was declared Tuesday and the case will have to be retried.
