Board members with the Westmoreland County Transit Authority are considering a fare increase for the agency’s shared ride program.
The service for seniors and those who receive social services benefits could be going up nearly 25 percent. The change would go into effect on October 1st and the rates for the fixed-route bus system would remain the same.
The board is expected to vote on the increase today.
