UPDATE AT 11:44 AM: A crash reported at 490 Poulos Road in Armstrong Township around 11:30 this morning. Indiana Fire Association is on the scene. Initial scanner reports say the front end of a vehicle went into a nearby pond. Entrapment was reported.
UPDATE: Five vehicle crashes have been reported this morning by Indiana County 911.
The first was at 1:29 this morning at a location on Route 553 in Cherryhill Township. Cherryhill firefighters were joined by Citizens Ambulance and State Police. Details on the crash have not been released yet.
Indiana firefighters were on the scene of a crash reported at 6:51 PM for a crash on Route 422 near the Route 119 Northbound exit. The driver had gone off the road and got stuck in the weeds. Indiana Fire Association, State Police and Citizens Ambulance were sent out.
A third crash just minutes later was reported on East Pike in Indiana. Officials say two vehicles collided, causing minor damage. No injuries were reported, and state police handled the call.
The fourth crash was at 7:19 AM on Route 119 near the Teamz Xpress Gas Station in Black Lick. Eyewitnesses say that a car may have been broadsided. Black Lick firefighters were sent to the scene.
The most recent crash was reported around 10:46 this morning on Route 210 in North Mahoning Township as a truck went off the road and sheared a utility pole, knocking down power lines from REA and Penelec. The live wires went over the truck. One person was trapped in the truck, but no injuries were reported.
