Multiple fire crews are on the scene of a reported leak at a gas well in Young Township.
The first call was made at 4:47 PM yesterday by Indiana County 911 at a location on North Long Run Road. Crews from Iselin, Tunnelton, Elderton and Saltsburg fire departments were sent out initially. In the 6:00 hour, they would be joined by crews from West Leechburg, Coal Run and Kiski Township. This morning, crews from Monroeville #5, Parks Township, Sardis, Upper Burrell, Washington Township, Rossiter, Rural Valley and North Apollo fire departments were sent out by Indiana County 911.
No fire has been reported as of yet, but water is being pumped so that crews can make the necessary repairs and no explosions take place.
Indiana County 911 also reported a car crash at 11:26 PM on Wayne Avenue in White Township. Indiana Fire Association members, Citizens Ambulance and State Police were sent to the scene.
