Penn State is number eighteen in the AP Preseason Top 25 Poll released yesterday and Pitt received seven votes for inclusion in the poll, placing them at number 36.
Ohio State, Oregon, Georgia, Notre Dame, and Texas make up the top five, with Curt Cignetti’s defending national champion Indiana Hoosiers ranked number six. The rest of the top ten are Miami, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, and Oklahoma.
The next poll will be released September 8th, after the first week of the college football season is complete.
