Today is the first of two move-in days for first year students at IUP.
Expect an increased amount of foot and vehicle traffic in and around campus today. While some students are already on-campus for sports, marching band or other reasons, about 900 new students will move in today and another 800 students will come through tomorrow. Move-in for new students will begin at the KCAC between 9-3 today and 9-2 tomorrow. The facility will be a one-stop check-in spot. IUP’s Navigators will be on hand to help with the check-in, along with employees, continuing students and members of IUP’s ROTC. After move-in, students can head back to the KCAC during the open hours for any other concerns they may have.
New Student Welcome Week starts today and will include several activities to help new attendees familiarize themselves with campus. That will include the traditional start-of-the-academic year ceremonies on August 21. Other students will be able to move in starting next weekend and the first day of classes will be August 24th.
