A Punxsutawney man has been sentenced to one to seven years in state prison after pleading guilty to attempted statutory sexual assault in Jefferson County.
ExploreJeffersonpa.com reports, Prosecutors said 31-year-old Zachary Joseph Runyon believed he was communicating online with a 15-year-old girl, who was actually part of a predator sting, and arranged to meet for sexual activity in December 2025.
Runyon received credit for 238 days already served and will be subject to probation, restrictions on contact with minors, computer monitoring, and other sex offender conditions following his release.
