Bernard Busija, 72, of Indiana, died Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Indiana Regional Medical Center. Born in Indiana on December 18, 1953, he was the son of the late Nicholas Busija and Imogene (Buterbaugh) Busija.
He graduated from Indiana Senior High School and was a member of the Shelocta Sportsman’s Club.
Bernard enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially hunting and attending local turkey shoots. He also enjoyed crafting his own knives.
He is survived by his children, Steven Busija, Misty Busija, and Tony Busija; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He will also be missed by his sisters, Regina Minser and Joyce Jewart, and his special friend, Katherine Walker.
Bernard was preceded in death by his parents.
