Gas prices in Pennsylvania are on a slight decline.
That’s according to Triple A (AAA), who says that the statewide average for a gallon of gas as of this morning is $4.12. That’s about a ten-cent decrease from prices last week, but still almost 20 cents higher than this time a year ago.
Indiana’s average this morning is at $4.21. Of the surrounding counties, Jefferson has the lowest average at $4.04 per gallon, while Westmoreland is the highest at $4.23.
In Indiana Borough and White Township, prices hover around $4.25.
The price wars in the 119 corridor in Center Township continue, with Accent fuels reporting the lowest price at $4.09. Kwikfil reports $4.23, while Sheetz is at $4.25.
Fluctuation in prices can likely be attributed to ongoing tensions in the Middle East and the Straight of Hormuz.
