An Indiana man is charged with threatening his parents at gunpoint late last month. State police said on July 30th, 33-year-old Christian Smith reportedly pointed an AK-47 at his parents saying he was going to kill them at a location on Martin Road. Troopers were able to take Smith into custody. He is now in Indiana County Jail. A preliminary hearing is set for August 13th.
A Shelocta man is facing charges of simple assault and harassment for an incident on Sunday. State police say they were sent out to a home on Parkwood Road. They discovered that 44-year-old Jeremy Waterloo and a 42-year-old woman were involved in a verbal argument when it turned physical. Waterloo threw a beer can at her, hitting her in the back before shoving and punching her and bit her hair. He is now in Indiana County Jail on $5,000 bond and a preliminary hearing in front of District Judge Anthony Sottile is set for August 20th.
