In Westmoreland County, today’s sentencing hearing for a Delmont woman convicted in the 2023 death of her adopted son is being delayed.
Lauren Maloberti was convicted in May on charges including third-degree murder in the death of five-year-old Landon Maloberti. Prosecutors say physical abuse of the boy led to his death. Defense attorneys are being allowed additional time to put together a sentencing argument.
The hearing has been rescheduled for this October.
