Lois Ann Anderchin, 76 of Indiana (formerly Starford) passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026, at her home.
She was the daughter of Lewis and Ann (Jakuboski) Hinsinger, born July 23, 1950, at Indiana Hospital.
She was a member of St. Anne Byzantine Catholic Church, Clymer.
Lois worked at McCreary Tire for 10 years, where she met her husband of 47 years, Jim. After pausing to raise her children, she worked an additional 20 years at Purchase Line School District in the cafeteria where the kids held a special place in her heart.
After retiring she was a devoted grandmother and was especially close with her great-granddaughter Rylee. She also made time to travel and spend time with family and friends, including relaxing on the deck, Girl’s Nights, and hanging out with the Byzantine Beauties.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents and husband, James L. Anderchin.
She is survived by two children, Stephanie Leamer, James G. Anderchin and wife Mandy Wang, three grandchildren, Brianna, Tara, and Austin Leamer, one great-granddaughter, Rylee Shutt, and two brothers Joseph Hinsinger and wife Cindy, and Barry Hinsinger.
Friends will be received on Friday, August 7, 2026, from 1 to 3 pm and 5 to 7 pm with a Parastas Service beginning at at 1 pm at the McCabe~Roof Funeral Home, 565 Franklin St. Clymer, Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 am at St. Anne Byzantine Catholic Church, Clymer with Fr. Wesley Mash as celebrant. Interment will be made in St. Bernard Cementery, Indiana.
