Steelers training camp yesterday was a lighter practice as the players went without helmets on its third acclimation day.
Head coach Mike McCarthy said that yesterday’s session could be described as an “extended mock game” trying to hit different situations that may happen through the course of the game, and focusing on details. Training camp continues today. The Steelers will announce their 2026 Hall of Honor Class on Saturday, Aug. 1 at a 10 a.m. ceremony at the Fred Rogers Center on the Saint Vincent College campus. The day’s practice then is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
Players will get a day off tomorrow. The first practice in pads is scheduled for Monday, and it has been confirmed that media personality Pat McAfee will broadcast his show from training camp that day.
