After they were clubbed, 12-3 in the series opener against Chesapeake on Tuesday night, Altoona pitchers took another beating last night in a 9-2 loss. The Curve managed only four hits, including a two-run home run by Will Taylor.
Dominic Pipkin gave up three runs for the Curve and Joshua Loeschorn, Cy Nielson, and Michael Walsh all gave up two. The Curve gave up five walks and committed five errors in the game.
Peyton Stumbo starts the third game of the series tonight.

Something’s going on at the plate in Greensboro…with Sammy Stafura hitting two home runs in each of their previous games, two other hitters clouted two homers each last night.
First baseman Jared Jones and DH Tony Blanco Jr. both blasted two over the wall in a 14-4 win over Bowling Green.
