UPDATE: We are pleased to report that Gary has been located and is safe. He was found in the 300 block of Philadelphia Street by an Indiana Borough Patrol officer who was traveling in that area. We sincerely appreciate our media partners and community members for the support and information received during this investigation.
ORIGINALLY REPORTED
On July 29th at approximately 10am it was reported to the Indiana Borough police department that Gary McKean III, a 13 year old male, from Shelocta, PA was considered missing and is believed to have run away from home.
Gary has not been home since 2pm yesterday (July 28th). He was last seen by his family in the 900/1000 block of Philadelphia Street around 5pm last night. He was riding his bicycle with a group of similarly aged boys that were not recognized. Gary rode away refusing to talk to family. He did not return to his residence last night.
