An Indiana man pleaded “no contest” in connection with a fatal crash that happened last year at 9th and Philadelphia Street.
66-year-old Martin Dean Harvey entered the plea to two counts of careless driving- unintentionally causing the death of another for the incident that happened on March 11th of 2025. On that day, the two victims entered the crosswalk on Philadelphia Street, walking towards the Indiana County Courthouse. Harvey was driving a box truck and traveling south on North 9th St. at Philadelphia Street. He attempted to make a left turn onto Philadelphia, and in doing so struck the pedestrians.
Manzi also announced that no charges will be filed in the fatal accident that took place on 7th and Philadelphia Streets the same year, when a bus struck two pedestrians in the crosswalk. After reviewing camera footage from the bus, it was determined that the driver’s hands never left the wheel, nor did they show signs of being distracted or using their phone.
