On Monday, a federal jury found a Cherry Tree woman guilty on charges of fentanyl distribution resulting in bodily injury and conspiracy to distribute drugs.
U.S. Attorney Troy Rivetti announced the verdict against 44-year-old Mandi Litzinger came after a federal jury deliberated for one hour. Evidence presented during the week-long trial showed that in February of 2021, Litzinger distributed a large amount of a drug mixture containing fentanyl in the Western PA region that resulted in serious bodily injury and the death of another person. In that same month, she conspired with another individual to distribute drugs.
A sentencing hearing is set for November 19th. She faces a maximum sentence of 20 years to life in prison, a fine of up to $1 million or both. The actual sentence will be based on the seriousness of the offense and any criminal history.
