Frederick Mack Foster, 88, of Indiana, passed away Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Rose Haven Personal Care Home.
A son of the late Henry W. and Leona E. (Rhine) Foster, he was born Sept. 12, 1937, in Brush Valley Township, Indiana County.
Fred was a 1956 graduate of United High School and proudly served in the United States Army Reserves. After working for over 40 years, he retired from FMC as a purchasing agent. Fred was a member of Graystone Evangelical Presbyterian Church and liked woodworking, collecting tractors and model trains. You could find him at the Indiana County Fair with his farm display.
He is survived by his children, Greg Foster and wife Ruthann, of Indiana; and Kimberly Colgan and husband Donald, of Mount Jackson, Virginia; his siblings, Donald Foster and wife Susan, of Pittsburgh; Barbara Joseph, of Columbia, MD; and (Lewis) Dale Foster and wife Sue, of Brush Valley; grandchildren, Natasha Glambin and husband Joe; and Tyler Foster and wife Stephanie; great-grandchildren, Laila, Morgan, Sadie and Jameson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Jean (Hill) Foster; and siblings, (Virgil) Glenn Foster, Richard “Dick” Foster and Thomas Foster.
Friends and family will be received from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 p.m. on Thursday, July 23 at Graystone Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 640
