Gas prices on the rise once again, taking the average cost of a gallon in Pennsylvania above $4 once again.
Pennsylvania’s average as of this morning is $4.19 a gallon, according to AAA. That’s a 21-cent increase from last Saturday. The national average for a gallon of regular gasoline has gone up 13 cents over the past week and is now at $4.00 per gallon. AAA officials say that the ongoing instability in the Strait of Hormuz has contributed to the increase in the price at the pump.
Indiana County’s average is $4.15 a gallon this morning. According to GasBuddy.com, prices in Indiana are around $4.09 a gallon. Prices are also that level at the Sheetz in Homer City, while Kwik Fill in the Route 119 corridor is at $4.29 a gallon. Accent fuels this morning is at $4.05 a gallon.
