The Athletic’s Josh Yohe and other sources report that the Penguins and Seattle Kraken have been involved in trade talks involving center Shane Wright, who was taken with the fourth overall selection in the 2022 draft by Ron Francis when the Pens’ consultant was the Kraken’s general manager.
Wright has been a disappointment so far for Seattle, last season scoring 12 goals with fifteen assists, following up on a nineteen-goal season the year before. Rickard Rakell is the name most prominently mentioned in trade discussions, but it would probably take more than just him to complete a deal.
