Philip Kwisnek, 77 of Baltimore, MD, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. He was born December 26, 1948 in Blairsville, PA, the son of the late John Kwisnek and Evelyn (Ammon) Kwisnek. Phil was a member of the St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Maryland. He was a US Marine Corp veteran of the Vietnam war and had worked many years for the Social Security Administration in Maryland. He loved the Baltimore Ravens and tinkering with cars.
He is survived by his siblings: John Kwisnek, Jr., Bridgewater, NJ, Dorothy Moroney, FL, Cora Uber & husband, James, Penn Run, PA, Mary Davis, Indiana, PA, Girard Kwisnek, Clarksburg, PA and Ella Kwisnek & husband, Tsenolo Leche, Pittsburgh, PA and also his nieces & nephews: Jody, Laura, Sarah, Stacey, Heidi, Johnny, Rivers, Nathan, Philip & Krissy. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Edward Kwisnek, Evelyn Kwisnek, Thomas Kwisnek & Paula Black.
A memorial mass will be held in the SS Simon & Jude Church, Blairsville, PA on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at 10:00 AM with Fr. Philip White officiating. Blairsville Military Honor Guard and the US Marine Corp will conduct graveside military services in SS Simon & Jude Cemetery, Blairsville following the memorial mass.
