Jefferson County commissioners say they do not have the legal authority to impose a countywide moratorium on data centers, urging municipalities to adopt their own land-use regulations instead.
Explorejeffersonpa.com is reporting that the Commissioners said the county is developing a Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance expected to be completed later this year, while also approving a nearly $200,000 project to replace and expand the Jefferson County Jail’s aging video surveillance system using Local Share Account funding.
