Jimmy Stewart will be an inductee in the second class of the Pittsburgh Walk of Fame.
The Pittsburgh Walk of Fame, which is in the Strip District’s Terminal Building, started last year to celebrate those with ties to Southwestern Pennsylvania who made a significant mark on America. Stewart will be one of 10 inductees for 2026.
Stewert had a legendary Hollywood career, starring in classics like It’s a Wonderful Life, while earning an Academy Award for Best Actor. Off the screen, he served with distinction in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II, flying combat missions over Europe before retiring from the Air Force Reserve as a brigadier general.
Other inductees include photographer Charles “Teenie” Harris, football legend Franco Harris, inventor and engineer George Westinghouse, composer Henry Mancini, entrepreneur H.J. Heinz, hockey icon Mario Lemieux, dancer and choreographer Martha Graham, longtime Steelers broadcaster and commentator Myron Cope, and actress and singer Shirley Jones.
