Pennsylvania is expected to receive about $1 million as part of a nearly $30 million multistate settlement with generic drug manufacturer Glenmark.
Attorney General Dave Sunday announced the agreement, saying Glenmark was accused of taking part in a long-running conspiracy to fix prices on generic prescription drugs by limiting competition and artificially inflating costs. The settlement does not end the broader investigation, and Glenmark has agreed to cooperate with ongoing litigation and implement reforms to comply with antitrust laws.
Consumers who purchased generic prescription drugs made by Glenmark, Lannett, Bausch, Apotex or Heritage between May 2009 and December 2019 may be eligible for compensation. More information is available at AGGenericDrugs.com or by calling the settlement hotline at 1-866-290-0182.
