The director of Admissions and Student Affairs for IUP’s new College of Osteopathic Medicine Jamie Murphy gave a presentation at the 2026 National Association of Advisors for the Health Professions Annual Meeting.
The event brings pre-health advisors from colleges and universities throughout the nation to discuss ideas on best practices, discuss emerging trends in health professions education, and to connect with admissions leaders from medical, dental, veterinary and other health professions programs.
Murphy’s presentation highlighted the focused mission of IUP’s College of Osteopathic Medicine to serve rural communities; affordability; and clinical opportunities throughout all four years of medical education at IUP.
The school is currently seeking applications for the university’s first year, which will start in the fall of 2027.
