Police in Indiana Borough have charged a man with theft, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness for an incident last Thursday in the 300 block of Philadelphia Street. Officers were sent out at 5:16 AM for a report of theft and disorderly behavior. They found Scott Hubele in a highly intoxicated state in a parking lot setting off fireworks. Further investigation showed that he stole the fireworks and an alcoholic beverage from a nearby store. He was lodged in Indiana County Jail on a temporary drunk detainer.
Two people from Indiana were cited for harassment for a domestic incident on July 1st. Indiana Borough Police said they were sent to a home in the “00” block of North 5th Street at 3:54 AM for a report of a domestic disturbance. The two living there, 44-year-old Neil Kershetsky and 45-year-old Victoria Simon, were separated by police for the duration of the night. Officers found that they were subjecting each other to unwanted physical contact.
