The Curve return home to play Richmond in their final series before the All-Star break. Altoona will send left-hander Connor Oliver to the mound tonight.
The Curve lost the first six games it played against the Flying Squirrels this season, part of a historic eleven-game losing streak to start the season, and they are only 2-10 against Richmond this season.
Former Curve pitcher Connor Wietgrefe has been named the Eastern League Pitcher of the Month for June. He threw eighteen consecutive scoreless innings over his final three outings for the Curve and he struck out 29 batters in his last 23 innings before being promoted to Indianapolis on June 25th. He was 3-0 with a 0.39 ERA in four appearances for Altoona last month, holding opposing hitters to a league-leading .132 batting average.
