A flash flood watch is scheduled to start at 11:00 this morning and run for 12 hours.
The National Weather Service has said that the rainfall expected today will be a strong slow-moving storm that will bring a lot of rainwater to an already saturated ground for all of Indiana, Armstrong and Westmoreland Counties. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.
People are asked to monitor later broadcasts and be prepared to take action should flash flood warnings be issued. We’ll have a check of your AccuWeather forecast in a few minutes.
