The Penguins have signed four restricted free agents to contracts, including top-six forward Egor Chinakhov, who gets a three-year deal, and goaltender Arturs Silovs, who signs for one year. Forward David Gustafsson, who was acquired last week in a trade with Winnipeg, signs a one-year two-way contract, and goaltender Joel Blomqvist will sign a two-year deal, with the first year being two-way and the second year one-way, meaning he would be paid at the NHL level in the final year of the contract.
Forward Nick Robertson, whose rights were acquired from Toronto last week, filed for salary arbitration yesterday and two others, forward Ville Koivunen and defenseman Alex Alexeyev, remain restricted and unsigned, although Alexeyev has already signed with a team back in his home country, Russia.
