The Pittsburgh Penguins will start a home-and-home series today in Boston against the Bruins.
The Pens clinched a slot in the playoffs on Thursday with a 6-3 win over the New York Islanders Thursday night. The Pens only have one win at the TD Garden this year, and are looking to get multiple wins at the home of the Bruins for the first time since 2011-2012. In the last eight games the two teams have played each other, the teams are evenly split at 4-4. Crosby enters today’s game one goal shy of 30 goals for the season. If he reaches that milestone, it will be the 10th time in his career, and would join Jaromir Jagr and Mario Lemieux with 10 or more 30-goal seasons. Also, Teddy Bluger will have a milestone day just by stepping on the ice, as he will play in his 200th NHL game today.
One player that will be out is Tristian Jarry, as he is out with an unspecified lower-body injury. Casey DeSmith will start in goal for the Pens.
You can hear it on U-92.5 FM and the U-92.5 sports channel starting at 11:30 with the pre-game show.
