The Westmoreland County Juvenile Detention Center is set to take in more young detainees.
The county has signed contracts with Armstrong, Greene, Beaver, Butler and Indiana counties this year, agreeing to house juvenile inmates arrested there. The director of the center, Rich Gordon, says deals could be made with another five counties soon as well.
Each of those counties would pay Westmoreland over 870 dollars per day to house young inmates.
