JUSTIN BALTZ, 35

Justin Thomas Baltz, 35, of Blairsville, passed away at his home on Wednesday, June 24, 2026.  Born July 17, 1990 in Buckhannon, WV, he was the beloved son of Denise Moore and Thomas Baltz. An only child, his life was filled with a love of family, music, and learning.

Justin was a 2008 graduate of Blairsville Senior High School, and a proud graduate of Penn State University, where he earned a degree in civil engineering. He approached his profession with intelligence and dedication.  Music was one of Justin’s greatest passions. He was a talented trombone player with the Blairsville Community Concert Band, and a faithful member of the St. Simon and Jude Church choir. Whether performing with fellow musicians or singing in worship, Justin shared his gifts generously and brought joy to those around him. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #3624, expressing his faith through charity, unity, and fraternity.

In addition to his parents, Denise Moore (Jerry), and Thomas Baltz (Christine), he is survived by his paternal grandmother, Margaret Baltz of Pocahontas, Arkansas, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, dear friends and fellow musicians. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Bernard Baltz, and his maternal grandparents, Richard and Mary Belle Harsh.

The family will receive friends at the Ferguson Funeral Home & Monument Company, 25 W. Market St. Blairsville, PA 15717 on Monday, June 29, 2026 from 5-8 PM.  Prayers of transfer will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 9:15 AM prior to the funeral mass in SS Simon & Jude Church, Blairsville, PA at 11:00 AM.

Though Justin’s time with us was far too short, the love he shared, the music he created, and the memories he leaves behind, will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
